Artemis and Her Little Sister

Artemis and Charli: A playful duo sharing love and adventures every day.

Jayde, Nate, and Charli share how Artemis has brought joy and laughter into their lives.

A Unique Bond

Adopted 15 months ago, Artemis quickly became a beloved family member. Her gentle and easygoing nature makes her a perfect companion, especially for her young human sister, Charli.

Artemis (formerly known as Latte) was adopted about 15 months ago after our family decided we were meant to be. She is as easy going as ever, quick to make friends (but never pushy), quiet and gentle. She still doesn't like peanut butter and she can't wrap her head around the concept of balls as toys. (Seriously guys, tennis balls?! So lame!)

Daily Adventures

Artemis enjoys zooming around tennis courts, indulging in long walks, and gardening. Though not a fan of rain or coats, she loves watching from the window during spring showers. Artemis fits perfectly into their selectively-social lifestyle, enjoying both playdates and the quiet of home.

Her favorite past-times include tennis court zoomies (we don't have a fenced in yard), naps, gardening and long (60+ mins) walks in cool weather. Also treats (duh). When Artemis comes out with us to the garden she will snack on peas or strawberries or weeds. We have to not let her in until the plants are big enough, or she just walks over them. She doesn't like rain and doesn't particularly like wearing a coat either. So, in the spring she watches us garden from the window. She is meticulously clean and likes to groom her feet before she naps, and there are a lot of naps!
Artemis loves meeting other dogs on walks and at day-care and playing with them, but I think she appreciates the quiet home life too. So she fits in well with the rest of us selectively-social people.

Playful Antics

With her curious ears and rare barks, Artemis keeps the family entertained. She even participates in playful games of hide and seek with cat sounds from their Echo Dot.

We like to tease her sometimes by getting the Echo dot to make cat noises and then we watch her do curious puppy ears while brusquely stalking the house for cats. Sometimes we use our phones and turn it into a game of hide and seek. Poor girly; no cats here! She gets her revenge though when she pulls a random bark and we all jump 3 feet in the air. We're so used to her silence; she easily barks less than once a week... maybe once a month.

Sibling-Like Friendship

Charli and Artemis share a special sibling-like bond, from cuddling under blankets to vying for the lead on walks. They teach each other tricks and share treats, creating cherished memories.

Artemis and Charli (her 4 year old human sister) have a special relationship... very sibling-esque. They argue for floor space next to the adults, they cuddle together with the couch blankets, share food and treats. They both vie for front spot on walks (Artemis never pulls, she just wants to be in front). Charli tries to teach Artemis dance moves, Artemis is trying to teach Charli how to sneak her more treats and take her on walks.

A Grateful Heart

The family is grateful to Greyt Angels for bringing Artemis into their lives.

We are so glad we met (and foster-failed) her and that we get to have her in our family! Thank you Greyt Angels fam!

Thank you, Jayde, Nate, and Charli, for sharing your delightful journey with Artemis.
